GINA, the digital health initiative developed by Hattrick IT, has been awarded first place in the Santander X University Award 2025 – Uruguay Edition, recognizing its innovative approach to improving adolescent sexual and reproductive health through technology.

Selected from among the country’s most promising university-led ventures, GINA stood out for its inclusive, evidence-based platform that provides adolescents with confidential access to reliable sexual and reproductive health information. The app leverages artificial intelligence and medical validation to ensure safety, accuracy, and accessibility for all users.

“This recognition reinforces our commitment to building digital solutions that promote health equity, empower young people, and advance inclusive innovation across Latin America,” said María Eugenia González Panuncio, Innovation Manager at Hattrick IT and leader of the GINA project.

The Santander X Award is one of the most important entrepreneurship competitions for university startups, supporting projects that demonstrate high potential for social and economic impact.
